Full Version: Cricket at Adelaide Oval

Just got home from the last day of the second Cricket test against the English at the worlds most beautiful cricket ground.
I took Jackson and Nick and watched Australia pull off one of the best wins ever staged in the fifth and final day of the match.

We were in an unasailable position and the match was headed for a draw, but the greatest spin bowler of all time ..Shane Warne cut the English attack apart and we went in with two hours to go.

Australia needed 168 runs off of 32 0vers .

We finally won with 6 wickets in Hand and a rousing cheer from the appreciative crowd..

Lucky I bought tickets for the fifth day of a test that will go down in History..

The Temp all day was arounf 95F

crowd for the final day was 21,000, total for the 5 days was around 160,000...great turn out.

regards
Peter

Toni,

YES, I'm glad Peter had a good time. YES we probably both understand it about the same... BUT...

WHAT ABOUT the poor little crickets? Someone has to look out for them.

Not to make the thread go off track but, Peter had a great time at the cricket tournament.

I don't care about no crickets. I'm the one with the fish hatchery/ cricket & mealworm facilty in my back door (across the field). Remember me mentioning the hot & humid summer nights here with the fermenting debris wafting off the fields? Oh, by the way are you coming to visit in July or August? I'll have Joe put the hammock on the porch for you! Jill can stay in the house. :O)

Meet in person? Toni, you don't remember meeting ME? I am crushed. I am devastated.

I must now cancel my reservation because I will never be able to attend again ... :'-(
