Recently I purchased from CDW an Okidata C3200n color printer to use in the sublimation part of the business.

Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away, but now it looks as if .....

....the printer driver is in spanish. OH GOSH how did that happen?

Well apparently, there is a "timing" issue that occurs during installation and if the printer is turned on at the wrong moment, the software installs in english or portuguese.

After less than 30 seconds on hold with the free, helpful and polite tech support from Okidata, we were able to fix the problem, by deleting, the printer driver, uninstalling the "network" drivers, and reinstalling from scratch.

Mostly I wanted to share a breath of fresh air with you, about how pleasant it was to deal with a knowledgable tech support person and a great company.

If you are at all considering the Oki C3200n I highly recommend it.

Chuck,

When you say "Sublimation" are you using the printer with dye sub toner, or are you using OEM toner with VersaTrans, or similar transfer paper, to transfer to a substrate?

OEM with a paper from Cactus Coatings.

I was hoping you were going to be the "Canary in the Coal Mine" with Al's white laser toner.

Guess someone else will have to be the bird. :-)
