The thread list is organized by the order of last post first. But I agree with you, Beehive does not.

Harvey,
I guess what I meant was not the "thread list" as the Thread Title"

General Discussion, Where can I find, Forum Notices, Corel, etc.

Thanks

That is what I was talking about. You can move the listings up or down in the admin section, but it still displays the titles of the folders in the order of the most recently used folders.

Harvey,
We are still not communicating.
When one goes to "New Discussion" to start a NEW thread, when you click new discussion, under "folder" you get a drop down box that allows you to choose the place where you will put the thread.

They are

General Discussion
Computerized engraving
Laser Engraving
Glass Etching/Sandblasting
Hot Stamping/Embossing
Dyesub/Digital Imaging
Tips & Tricks
Editorials
Pantograph/Handheld Engraving

And so on and so fourth. Can THAT list be alphabetized?

Believe it or not, that might be the date order of the last post. It does not look like the order in which they were created, which some software uses. When we go to admin to the folders they are in alphabetical order except for two I moved to the top.

I am not good enough in PHP at this time to locate how those are sorted without spending hours to find the right PHP page that does it. (There are far more than one would think, and they are all interlocked.)

After Christmas and after the major bugs are worked out, it will be a reasonable fix to make. I hate it also. My old phrase to David L. is , "Now where can I find the 'Where Can I Find' folder." We used to have to move a bunch of stuff there, it is getting much better of late.

Harvey
Any progress on the "mark all discussions as read" yet ? I hope you get it fixed soon !!

I did not remember that one since I never use it.

But Eric will see your post and put it on the list.

The threads I know I am not interested in are starting to pile up, don't want to spend the time to have to read everything.

Just a thought, which might have been better left that way, but could you add the Folder names in the "Links of Interest" drop down in alphabetical order? Granted, the list would be quite long, but when you get frustrated trying to find a folder, that might be an acceptable alternative.

Or not.

Until that is fixed, you can click on the thread, go to the bottom of the thread and click on the last post numbers. That will mark that thread as read.

It is a pain but a solution.

David and I read all posts so it does not remind us of this problem when we are here.

Hi Harvey,

It's a problem for me as well ..........I used the mark all as read far more than I realized.

Eric now has the info and will look into it when time permits.

I corrected the garbage in your signature that the new software put in there. Sometimes I hate upgrades.
