Cindy,

Unless a demolition is planned, it's unlikely that the club itself is going away.

Who knows? It may reopen under new management, or under another name altogether.

I'll certainly check into that likelihood.

I've got a GREAT idea! Let's all just go to the Barry Manilow concert together. It's right there at the Hilton! I might even be able to get my BMIFC discount for all of us! (Yes, I'm a card-carrying member of the Barry Manilow Int'l Fan Club.)

:O)

From a blog about Las Vegas:

"It was a great spot for years in Vegas, but yesterday was the last night for the Beach. The property has been sold to a developer (to build a mixed use condo/casino hotel project.) "

Thank you for mentioning that David. It's good to know the alternatives in case the Hilton fills up.

Thank you Dave.

Does mixed use include Engraving Etc. parties? :-)

Actually, I got a lead from Barry (Beach) suggesting a restaurant right behind their location, which holds about 200 people.

I have the name of a contact and I'll see what their deal is for a private party.

David,
Is taking over Quarks not an option?

It is an option, but their wares are Expensive, with a cap E.

(Not getting into the capitol/capital mess again.)

Does the LARGE, framed, signed brochure come with or without darts? :O)

Chuck,

Actually, one of our helpful forum members is talking to Quark's about a private room and buffet, which I didn't know they made available.

I'm all for holding the event at the Hilton, if the constellations align. :-)

What fun would Quark's be without Peter?

Peter & the Klingon woman, quite a sight. At least I think she was a woman. She was tall, had an assertive personality, well packaged in her costume & totally in character. Peter was smitten, no I think enamoured!

He did not do too badly with the blue gal either.
