Hi all,
If I create m y logo in Corel and want to use it on my webpage that has a colored background, how do I save it so that it doesn't have a white background? In other words, I just want the logo with a transparent background, no white. How do I do that?
Thanks all!
Becky

Try saving it as a GIF file with a transparent background.... Should work and will load faster than many other formats.

Becky:

The link above will tell you how to get rid of the white box which appears with all bitmaps.

You must convert your Corel logo to a bitmap before you can put it on the web. A bitmap can be a jpeg, gif, bmp etc. You can convert your drawing by going to bitmaps on the Corel toolbar and following the steps. Or you can export it.

There are a couple of other ways to do it but the tutorial might be the best.

Easy way is to copy it if it is in Draw, then 'New from clipboard' in Paint.

Use the magic wand to select the background, then invert the mask and use 'Save As...' to save it as a gif.

Now, how do I light a fire under my web developer to get this website done. (keeping in mind I already do his laundry and feed him 3 square meals a day wink wink) LOL
Thanks for your help guys!!
As always, it is greatly appreciated!!

You have not done a good job of teaching.

He must learn who OWMBO is.

Most of my gender learned that very early.

Well it wasn't exactly splitting the atom or anything. LOL I isolated my logo from it's white background in bitmap form so my husband can use my logo on my website. Right now my website is just plain white because of that white box but I would like to have it be color
