Full Version: Exclusive Plates

Brian,

I've invited the owner, Bob Terino, to the forum to answer our mounting questions. I talked to Bob's daughter, Wendy Barricelli (I just love those good Italian names:) who says, beside the web site being down, they're in the process of moving their manufacturing operation.

Sounds like they have a tiger by the tail. I hope they get things ironed out soon.

I've never seen as many varieties of ornamental plates before and would like to see a reliable supply.

Update:

I received a call from Wendy Barricelli, who says they'll be moving their operation over the next couple of days. She assured me that her father, Bob, is itching to come to the forum and answer our questions.

Just a little more patience folks :-)

David,
Have you heard anything from Exclusive Findings?

Dee

Dee,

Actually, I received a call saying that after their move, they would find time to come to the forum to answer questions.

The website is still down. You would think an "Under Construction" page would be better than nothing.

I'll follow up with another call and let you know what I find.

Dee,

This replay is from a different David. I received their catalog last week and the selection was nicer than any I have seen. I am still looking for a company that has a few more choices of 2 and 3-dimensional die-struck plates.

The price list they sent with the catalog was geared for the wholesalers. Minimum order quantity was set at 2,500. I am hoping that they have, or are, working on a price list that will lend itself more to our quantity purchases.

Dave,

If you have custom metal stuff that you need, we work regularly with metal fab houses that produce those types of spec. product. Let me know what you need and we will see if we can make it work for lower quantities.

Dee,

I just got off the phone with Bob Terino of Exclusive Findings.

The move is taking longer than expected and a personal matter hasn't helped. Bob's wife was involved in an accident which severed her leg. Bob's been to the hospital daily.

Bob hopes to be able to visit the forum by mid-month. Exclusive Findings (EF) will be an exhibitor at trade shows. Atlantic City and Las Vegas (ARA) being the two he mentioned.

EF's early customers included Things Remembered and New Hermes (Gravograph). Those companies carried a limited number of EF plates.

EF's goal is to bring a wider variety of plates directly to the end users.

Bob tells me that recent events have made for an extremely rocky ride, but EF will emerge as a force to be reckoned with.

I tend to believe him.

Bob,

I'm hoping the ups and downs of your recent move are smoothing out. As you can see, the members of the forum are eager to discuss your products.

Dave,

We have finally moved in to our new location and are settling in. The final link to completing the move is the polishing department With finalizing Permits, this department has taken a little longer to set up than we would like.

Historically, we have sold to the large distributors. With the addition of these new "high end" plates, we have decided to go direct to the trophy and engraving industry.

We will take a stock position on every item in our new brochure. One of the problems we experienced in the past was that customers would place orders without paying attention to the minimums causing delays in both manufacturing and shipping.

At the Atlantic City show, a packet of each of the new items will be available for interested customers. If they would like to order these sample packets they will be available to ship on September 1st.

Our customer service department will be available if you have specific questions 800-992-4541

David,

We are trying to gear up for smaller orders. On the new items in the brochure our minimum column is 50 pieces. Our minimum dollar amount per order is $50.00. We will be stocking all the items in our new brochure but we do not stock every item in every finish in our main catalog. So sometimes delivery will be a little slower on those items only.

Let me know if we can help you with any specifics,

Wendi

Wendi,

Many plates have a lacquer (polymer) finish suitable for sublimation. What about the plates your company offers?

Thanks,

Bob/Wendi,

It was nice to finally get to meet you at the past ARA Las Vegas show. I was impressed by your wide variety of ornamental plates.

I was also happy to hear you're finally entrenched in your new location.

Anything new and exciting you wish to share with us?
