I'm looking for someone to make me a banner for my business. We are getting more into doing sports trophies and would like something to draw attention to our table. We were thinking something like a vinyl with some way to hang it. or one that hangs off the front of table. or... We aren't sure what we want, but does anyone here do these and could you help us decide and give us a good deal on one?

Thanks,

Mike

Try PM'ing Ralleyguy.

He does most of that stuff. His quality is excellent and his prices are reasonable.

Hey Brian! You reading this?

Yup....

Thanks for the nice words Steve.....

I sell banners to the trade at $7.00 per sq foot ($35 minimum order).

Exerpt from our bannner description in our catalog........

Our banners are made of a high grade Avery brand 12oz. vinyl. This material is a heavy duty, yet pliable smooth satin vinyl (for easy viewing from all angles), with 1" strapping double stitched throughout the top and bottom edges of the banner for strength. These banners also include heavy duty grommets for mounting versatility. These materials are made with the most current digital direct print technology and are made to last for years with full outdoor exposure.

Mike,

Why not sell banners yourself? You can buy them at wholesale prices via Banner City Central. Jill will treat you well. She provides an excellent sales kit, along with a banner to help you promote this aspect of your business.

Her quality is excellent. Her vinyl banners all have fully sewn, double stitched hems with reinforced webbing on all four sides! Metal grommets are installed around the perimeter for easy, secure installation.

Dave,

Politics and opinions aside (Brian understands what I mean), I aways try to support forum members when possible.

I try to support Engraving Etc. forum supporters as well.

I have had great experience with Banner City Central and just wanted to share the source. They are located in Minnesota.

Hi Mike,
I have used the services of forum members for items I cannot get or that are trade specific and it works quite well.
With that said, I noticed you are in Colorado Springs. Is there not a sign shop that could help you with this locally?
The reason I mention this is NOT to dissuade you from using someone on the forum but it seems to me that building a relationship with someone in your community that could possibly refer work you way would be of some benefit.

Just my two cents. Want change?

Chuck,
That's a good point. I've contacted a local sign shop and am going to talk to them. I've also talked to RallyGuy and will see what comes out. But as you said, it might be good to make a future contact and possibly a customer. But I like trying to give business to forum members if I can.

Mike

I"m all for giving forum members the business. God knows they give me the business all the time. ( Insert laugh here). But only for something I cannot get locally. It is important to your business to be part of your local community.

Good luck and Happy New Year.

Steve,

If you read my statement again, I didn't use either one of those terms.

Mike,

I'm a "use the right tool for the job" type of guy...

Hopefully I'm the right tool for this job...If not....I hope you find what you need where you need it..........No worries from this end. :)

You should have a new PM from me in your box.

Sorry, you took my statement in reverse.... I meant why are they NOT members of the forum?

I am sure, if they are good, that they could get some information here and we could learn from them. Remember, this is Engraving ETC. :-)

Took me long enough to do it.

I didn't say anyone wasn't a member. I said I try to support Engraving Etc. forum supporters as well.

Banner City Central prices are excellent. The following is an excerpt from their website explaining the quality that is built into their banners.

"Our standard vinyl graphic banners and full color printed vinyl banners all have fully sewn, double stitched hems with reinforced webbing on all four sides! Metal grommets are installed around the perimeter for easy, secure installation."

Based on my wholesale price sheet for Banner City Central, their pricing is 65% of the special deal that Brian was quoting. I just think it was a better wholesale opportunity for Mike, and he would have a greater chance to build a new profit center for his business at that rate if he chose to.

Hi Dave,

I just took a look at their site.....I'm pretty sure I have talked to Jill in the past about doing work for us with cut vinyl (back before we had a vinyl cutter). When did they start offering full color printing? It doesn't seem to be listed on their web site anywhere, and I don't believe she was offering that when I talked to her last.

I notice that they also use the webbing sewn throughout the parimeter of the banner....this is the best way to make a banner as far as strength, and it's the same way ours have been made for years. Our standard banner material is 12 oz....theirs standard is listed as 10 oz. Construction wise I would consider them equal, and our standard offering might be a bit better because of the heavier weight of the material.

If you have a wholesale pricelist....what is the price per foot for full color, and what weight material are they offering for that option? I want to make sure that you are talking apples to apples......, not vinyl graphics compared to full color.

If her wholesale prices are truly 35% less than mine...it's a great deal.

Brian,

I've never used them for full color. The pricing I was referring to is vinyl on vinyl. That is what, I think, Mike was requesting. If your pricing was referring to full-color, we would not be comparing apples to apples.
