Mike,
That's very nice. I cwn see why they'd like it and it would look good on a bottle. I'm sure I'll find the idea helpful. Thank you!
David,
Yes I am full time. In October after coming back from 4 months on disability due to back problems, my day job decided that they didn't like me anymore and offered me 6 months if I would go away. My lawyer says we had a good case but with all my money in my shop and equipment we couldn't afford to wait it out, so I took the check and ran. I've been doing lots of different things on different substrates and am really getting going now. 3 ads in 3 papers this week and I hope to have a website soon with a least a gallery so I can refer potentials.
I attached one of my illuminated works which I thought you would like as you have given me much support, drive, and motivation, as have several others on this forum. I hope you can read it.
Jim

I'd say you're off and running. The work you've been showing, is of the highest quality.
Very inspirational, just like the wording on the award. :-)

Jim, Are you sandblasting and colorfilling? What mask are you using? Are you lasering the mask?
Thanks
Harold

Harold,
I used Laser Tape from Photobrasive, LaserBits has it too. Lasered it, sandblasted, and paint-filled. Some I only laser, those start at $15 and the sandblast start at $25. Graphics, paint-fill, and hard shapes all add to the price. I don't offer the laser only unless it seems an alternative after quoting the sandblast. I have samples of both methods and they usually sell the better quality of sandblast. Beer bottles I do for fun, and I only laser them for $7.50.
