This is my first post to the forum,so I hope someone can help me.I am looking for a 7/16 hollow shaft nut driver to use in assembling trophies.I've checked Sears,Snap-on,Klein, and the local Menards.No luck.If such a tool is not available,what do the rest of you use?I'm getting tired of being a fumble finger and having to pick nuts up off the floor!Thanks

You might try Radio Shack. Xcelite makes the deep shank drivers used in the electronics industry. They may even have a website.

The part number is probably HS-14 or HS-15 for the large handle hollow shaft one.

You can also use a dab of putty on the inner edge of the socket to hold the nuts in place so they do not slip out while starting them on the thread.

Rick,

The nut drivers I've seen have Craftsman on the handle. That would be a Sears item. <shrug>

Many trophy supplier catalogs have them..........thats where I've purchased mine over the years.

The Source (Wholesale Trophy) carries 2 sizes as a stock item. They have warehouses in Huntsville AL & Kansas City, KS. I believe they run around $11.99 & $15.99 each.

Oh! I forgot to mention.........they have a magnetic end! How great is that?

I got mine at Cummins Industrial Tools and paid about $3. Nice large diameter handle makes it easy for my rotten hands to get the nuts tight. Plus it has a hollow shaft for those times when I need it. But what I use most often is a Black & Decker cordless screwdriver that runs on 4 double A batteries. Stick a magnet on the side of the socket and your in business and your hands don't get tired as fast.
