Vicky,

Be careful what you wish for. You may get pictures you don't really want to see.

Below is a picture of Chuck that surfaced from last year's beach party. It was doctored up a little to enhance his figure. You know how pictures tend to make you look a little bigger than you really are.

That's what happens when you are waiting for a load of acrylics in the laser to be completed. Way too much free time.

Does anyone know if the laws regarding smoking (tobacco:) in Nevada have changed?

In California, smoking is banned in restaurants.

The reason I ask is, a person emailed and said they'd like to attend the Beach Party, but they have breathing difficulties and couldn't be exposed to smoke-filled rooms.

I'm a non-smoker myself and although I can't be ceratin, I don't remember if there were any smokers at our last party or not.

I don't think there were.

I suppose we could institute our own non-smoking rule for the evening.

David,

Getting to that smoke-free room via a smoke-filled casino might be a problem.

LOL - I thought the same thing. I have a terrible allergy when it come to smoke and the older I get the worse it is. Las Vegas does not ever let me forget I have it.
On the other side I do not get down on smokers I just have to avoid the smoke itself as much as I can.
Las Vegas maybe the last haven for smokers.
As far as the Beach Party - I got no problem if David makes it smoke free I can cope fine either way - But no doubt it will be a "Smokin' good time!"

Yeah,

I guess when it comes to sensitivity to smoke, when a person comes to Vegas, they're rolling the dice. :P

That's it Chuck and David, rub it in!!

The show hasn't even started and I'm going through withdrawals already. Where is that list for next year, I'll have to be dead to miss another one, and besides, I'll finally get to meet David Takes!!

I am a smoker, but would have no objection to making the party smoke-free.

While I am addicted, I go out of my way not to annoy others.

My vote is for a smoke-free Beach Party. I am sure that I can find somewhere outside the room that smoking is allowed if I just have to have a cigarette. If not so what.

Nevada did pass a state law a few months ago that prohibits smoking in restaurants and in bars that serve food. It allows smoking in stand-alone bars, as well as casinos and other businesses with unrestricted gaming licenses.

A restraining order was put in effect in early December to stop enforcement in Las Vegas and Henderson. I don't know if that has been lifted yet. It was to allow Las Vegas lawyers time to argue that the law is unconstitutional.

I don't know the current state of affairs now. My guess is many restaurants and bars that serve food will be obeying the new law even if the restraining order is still in effect.

Thank you Dave.

I think, for the most-part, smokers are much more aware and considerate of non-smokers, these days.

I don't expect it to be an issue at the party.
