Dave,

I thought that same thing about the colors, and I'm having the same thoughts about Vegas. :'-(

Dave & Dave,

Don't worry about Vegas....the weather is terrible out here, and I'm sure we won't have any fun at the party Thursday night.

Hehehe...I must not have quite been there (been accused of being mentally absent on MANY occasions), because I remember a lot of it!

I received a small sample pack of these new teardrop awards. I made an assumption from the picture that the colored area was a shaped hard-surface material. I was was way off on that one. It is formed material that is painted, and not very well at that. It may be resin.

The acrylic insert that is reverse engraveable has a .0625" gap most of the way around it, when placed in the recessed area of the award. I know there needs to be some tolerances here, but it just seemed like it wasn't a very good fit.

I'm hoping to be able to return these. Wish me luck. :-$

Well that is scary. We ordered a bunch of those at the show. I'll let you know when they come in.

I like a lot of the acrylic products with a black or marbelized back as it has much more contrast and is much easier to read.

These do look good in the picture.

We sell a few with black or marbelized backs but very few. Most people still seem to prefer basic clear, jade or blue acrylic even though they are much harder to read for aging eyes.
