Man thats great. I have 2 grown boys and I loved coaching them and their friends. I really miss it. Today I was working out with a friend and his teenage daughter. She is just starting to pole vault and they asked for some help. I spent a little over an hour with them at the track and it felt great. When I got home I told my wife I was going to adopt a teenage daughter. She never cracked a smile.

Anyway, enjoy every minute. Everything is going to be the same, just different.

Congrats!!! This is the beginning of what your parents never told you about!

It will be fun, frustrating and, above all, very fulfilling!

PS. If you behave, we might even tell you where they come from.. ;-)

Thanks,
My wife is only 6 weeks pregnant, but I have already started converting the guest room into the baby room.
ITs hard to believe that she gets her first sonogram in 4 weeks and we will be able to see a picture of the baby. I have so many emotions running through me right now, I don't really know what to feel. I do sense a nervous breakdown happening though, hopefully not before I get the babyroom done.
Thanks again guys for the warm wishes.

Franklin,

Congratulations on your impending fatherhood, sir!!

Your comment about "so many emotions" brought a big smile to my face....even made me chuckle a little. In my opinion, you haven't SEEN emotion until you've watched your wife through 9-1/2 months of pregnancy!! If I hadn't been in fear for my life at the time, I would have written a book about the changes (even after 13 years, I'm still timid about discussing it in public).

Children are our biggest blessing, my friend...and a wonderful gift from God. Enjoy this....relish it....bask in the beautiful gift that is parenthood.

Even when you want to beat the snot out of them. :|

Emotions? EMOTIONS? EMOTIONS?

How about the last 20-30 minutes of the pregnancy? (devil)

Congrats! My little boy will be 2 years old in a little over a week and I still remember vividly the day of his birth. They grow up so quickly. With my 10 year old daughter I remember saying she is at such a fun age beginning with her first month and I'm still saying it! Kids are just so fun to be with in between the time they are trying to frustrate you and see how mad they can make you!

Enjoy the pregnancy and make sure you have a special gift for your wife after the birth because she will deserve it. You will be so proud of her and you will love that child more than you ever thought possible the second you meet him or her!!!

Jim

Franklin,

When it gets close and your wife is bracing for child birth, have her think about the many women who would give anything to feel that pain. It really is a blessing to experience that pain. It's easy for a man to say, but it truly is a blessing. Enjoy every minute of it!

Hey Pops! (to be)

Lord help you if its a girl. Saying "no" is very difficult when you're wrapped around the finger of a pretty little pumpkin. :-)

Actually, during the pregnancy, it probably won't seem real yet.

As soon as the nurse hands that little fistful of spud over into your arms, it's all over.

Good luck!

Franklin,
Congratulations.....we must be sure to put him/her on the list for the Beach Party next year. ( Insert laugh here)

Seriously, congratulations.

Franklin,

You need to go ahead and buy that laser now ... you need to start making money for the college fund! B-)

Congratulations! We're thrilled for y'all!

Does this "Future Engraver" have any new features?
When do you plan to unveil it?

Don't know if it comes with an "air assist" but I will GUARANTEE it has "WATER COOLING" built in.... it is standard on most models! ;-)
