hey Ram,
I have a 45 watt and have been able to cut through 1/2". I'm running at 1 to 2 % speed. I've only gone through 1/4" on the mdf. Good luck on the rest.

Ram - I suggest you drop an email or call tech support at Epilog. They will be able to give you a standard set of power and speed setting for that laser for various materials. I have two 75 watt Epilogs and the power settings are different for each one, but once you have the general starting settings for your model you will be able to adjust specifically for your machine. The standard settings that each laser company give are only a recommended starting point, each machine will have some differences in power - Example even though a machine maybe rated at 50 watts it might be producing 58 watts or power while the next 50 watt tube is at 51.
Admittedly not a huge difference but enough see when you working with something tough.

Speed/Power/ Frequency
Single pass
1/8 " 20/100/5000
1/4" 8/100/5000
3/8 3/100/5000
These should get you started - 2 passes are better on the thicker materials - you should focus into the piece about one click.
