Full Version: Tom Franklin surgery

All,

For those of you who are not aware, our fellow forum member Tom Franklin, went through an extremely serious operation to remove a malignant tumor in the brain last Thursday. I have only 3rd party reports of the results.

Wife Carol and Tom, I'm sure, would appreciate your prayers.
Possibly a PM from several of us would cheer and speed his recovery(?).

Tom Franklin is considered by most of us to be the first independent, manufacturer's rep in our industry. This, my friend and mentor, gave me one of his equipment lines for a few states to get me started as an equipment rep a few decades back.

Rightfully so, ARA's *first* rep of the year obelisk winner.

Roy,

I have known Tom forever I was wondering why I did not see him in Las Vegas.

I will certainly send my prayers his way.

Roy, thanks for letting us know about Tom. We are first hand believers that there is always hope. My wife Denise had a brain tumor about 13 years ago. We were told to be prepared for the worst but here we are 13 years later and all is fine. I just wanted to share that with you, there is always hope.

Roy - I had asked about Tom at the show and was told he was having some health issues but I had no idea how bad. He will be in our prayers and on our prayer list.

Roy,

Tom had said he'd be at the ARA show and I was wondering why we hadn't heard from him in recent weeks. My last email exchange with Tom said he was going on a cruise.

Didn't expect this news at all.

Let's hope for a good outcome and a speedy recovery.

David,

I recently spoke with Tom after he got home. As you'd hope, he sounded great and ready to tackle what ever it takes to overcome still another obstacle. He was very apreciative of the concern & prayer of forum members.

Hopefully,Tom will soon give us a report.

You all are just wonderful and I can't thank you enough. Especially with your prayers and concern. I am in God's hands and great wife's Carols.

I am proud to be part of this industry and am so fortunate to have been here "forever".

engraving etc. could be no nicer and as a matter of fact, I linked reptom.com to this great room.

Fortunately the brain cancer surgery removed most of the cancer and I'll be having other treatments. We'll just keep praying.

I can't begin mentioning names as I don't ever wish to omit anyone....but the leaders and active folk hear are really great and I really love all of the Brewer Family.

Lots of love,
Tom Franklin

Tom,

We're always looking for one more QUALITY PERSON to become a forum member.

Although we've never met, I can say you've filled that bill very admirably.

Thank you and best of luck with your recovery.

Tom,

Best of luck and speedy and complete recovery.
I know first hand what you and your family are going through.
Our youngest daughter had surgery when she was 6.
She is 21 now and attending university.
All we can do is pray and hope for you and yor family.
God bless.

Tom, I don't know you but I hope someday to have as many friends to wish me well as you have.
Over in the Disney forum we give out pixie dust to those who need it. I have been given more than my share and it has always worked for my tired old body and mind. I have a brain tumor that hasn't changed for many years. Did the pixie dust help? I choose to believe it did.
So I am sending lots of it to you. All you have to do is believe.
Good luck.
Bill
