Full Version: Assistance Required

Hi All,

I am in need of some help, specifically in the Warner Robins area of Georgia. Do we have any members of EE located in this area?
I recently purchased some equipment online (eBay) and I believe I was taken to the cleaners on this one. On Feb 21, 2007 I was the highest bidder for the purchase of an IS400 engraver. The equipment is suppose to arrive on Wednesday the 14th. However I am very doubtfull that it will.
I haven't been able to get the shipping info from the seller.
The address where the machine was located is as follows:
208 McCall Road Warner Robins, GA 31093. I did try it on mapquest and it does recognize the street but I would like to confirm first hand if someone is aware of this area in Warner Robins.

The seller has been in regular contact but will not provide the shipping information. All the comments on this seller have been positive for the past 4 years but I am still very concerned. Of course if it doesn't arrive I will be taking a legal course of action.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Glenn Mattie

Get your money back. NOW!

Notify Ebay Now

Notify Pay Pal Now

Don't wait until the 30 days are up. If you used a credit card have the charge reversed Now.

Don't expect to get any legal help.

My daughter and son-in-law can tell you a painful story about buying a car that sounds just like what you're telling. They lost a lot of money.

Ebay which is the largest fencing operation in the world would do nothing, the FBI would do nothing, the states attorney general would do nothing.

Stop reading and start the process!

Contact your credit card company/paypal
Contact Ebay

Mapquest does NOT recognize McCall Road in Warner Robins, GA... it has it in Butler, GA about 90+ miles from Warner Robins.

What is the sellers ebay ID?

I want to see if they still have it up/relisted it.... ------------------ Just checked ebay... is THIS the same person/ad you saw? Item 160092852263 If so, ALL of the feedback is from sellers where this guy was the buyer. As long as he paid fast, his rating should be good. Doesn't show him as a seller for anything. Also this ad requires Money order/Cashiers check for payment with no buyers protection..... Are you STILL reading?

Glenn,

Was your purchase the IS400 that had 45 cutters with it? The reason I ask is that it has resurfaced for the third time.

Hi,

I will have to look up the details but I think so.
It also had a vacuum table and chip removal system.
Do you have the eBay listing number?

Thanks,
Glenn

Hi,

I found the item, it is described exactly as the other one.

There is your red flag, or should I say another red flag. How did you make payment?

I did it by bank to bank transfer.

I have been researching it for the past few days and I have come up with some very interesting info. I would gladly share it with you but if this person was ever viewing this forum I would be giving them my info and my approach.

You mentioned that you saw this item before my episode. Did you happen to remember the listing number? I would love to have it for my records.

I know my money is lost, that is for certain. However, this whole situation is comsuming me. Live and learn!! But, I am not finished yet.

Call the RCMP and ask them to call the FBI. Maybe by now they've found their computers and guns.

Hi Mike,

Thank for the response. I will have my process well under way today.
From what I been reading, I am on my own with regards to eBay.
I guess they are quite slack within their security department. Anyway, it should be an interesting process.

Glenn:

I'm really sorry about your experience. I can feel your pain as my daughter went through a fraudulent auto transaction. Like your situation, the seller kept stringing them along about the delivery until a 30 day period was up.

Ebay, which is no better than a criminal organization, would do nothing, the FBI would do nothing (surprise!) the Texas AG refused to help and the Ohio AG tried but couldn't get anything done.

My solution is more old fashioned--find him and break a couple of kneecaps.

Mike,

I can relate to the old fashion way.

Take care and thanks for the response.

Glenn
