Full Version: Glass plaques...

A friend of one of my customers is looking to etch a team photo onto something like the attached photo.

I would rather find something similar to this in acrylic if there is such a thing. There are at least 20 people in the photo and glass wouldn't render enough detail IMO.

He would like something with a stand....

Brian,
I agree, try to get them to go with acrylic or another product all together. I was engraving an 8 inch glass Octagon for a customer on a recurring basis with a photo of about 15-20 people in it. I was never really satisfied with how the picture looked. They liked it, but to me, it just wasn't good enough. I got them to switch to the black slate plaque with an engraved AlumiMark plate showing the picture. The difference in resolution was night and day. I then paint filled the engraving on the plaque to match the alumimark plate.

Brian,

Someone here has probably seen them with one of their regular suppliers.

If you don't find someone, you might want to contact J-Bob's in Ft. Worth, Texas. They've made custom-shaped acrylics for me in the past...they're fast and fair-price.
