Full Version: Limstone Plaque

Hello All

A customer would like to do a cornerstone for a new building in limestone. Does anyone have experience in engraving limestone?

This is a 18 X 24 plaque with coat of arms and an inscription. Customer would like brass cutout lettering partially inlaid into the engraving and possibly the coat of arms in brass.

I have no experience with this and would like an outsorcing lead for the job.

Thanks much
Alex

Alex,

Matthews Bronze seems to be the most reputable in the US for that kind of work. Of course, everything I've seen from them has been in BRONZE, not brass.

There's a company in Oregon that also does this kind of work, but I still can't remember their name (been trying to recall it for over a week). :<

Alex,

Gemini Plaques is also a good source for this type of project. They are in the U.S. - Minnesota. www.geminiplaques.com
