Does anyone use any type of image for their business card that denotes engraving?
My logo consists of my company name and I might consider an image to go on it if I can find something.
Could you post any suggestions?
thanks

My logo actually has a red laser hitting into an engraved word.
Easy enough to create in PhotoShop.
What's your company name? If you would like, I could come up with some ideas for you.
It may not be neccessary to use a laser effect in your image, but if the name has the potential to denote some other profession, it may clarify to give indication in your logo as to what you do for "at a glance" recognition.
An example could be "Body By Jake" which is a variety of fitness and nutrition supplies, but it could also (going by the name alone) be an autobody shop or even a brewery for that matter. Now by having an image of a barbell, a car, or a beer stein, will clarify at a glance what the business is about.
Plus try to think of something that can be used multipurpose. How will it look in black and white, can it be animated for use in websites and possibly commercials?

I never thought about this possibly being a brewery but, an undertaker or hair dresser did come quickly to mind. :P
