I'm not sure what they're doing. I've never been a victim. I do know that on larger transactions there needs to be an intermediary brought into the transaction, unless they can make a physical exchange.

Dave,

I'm with Dee....what did the guy (gal) tell you that told you it was a scam?

Dee,

First of all it is too major of a coincidence that they are also selling a machine with the T-slot table, a diamond cutter and a .020 FLX cutter, which is exactly what I sold with mine.

The seller has zero (0) eBay transactions, as is typical with the scammers.

I asked them for the serial number, which did not match the unit I sold. It wasn't even close to being the correct number of digits. I called and asked my buyer for that number so that I could confirm the validity. By the way, he still has the machine I sold him and it is running every day.

I did report this to eBay and they said they would look into it within 24 hours. They indicated that for security reasons they would not be corresponding with me any further on the matter. So the only way to tell if they stopped the auction is if it gets pulled early.

I tried reporting the other link, but eBay's reporting system would not allow it. That is the same item that Glenn was burnt on a week or so ago. 45 cutters is the red flag. It's the fourth time I've seen it listed.

Ebay must have a one-fraud-per-reportee maximum. :-$

That is the way it felt.

On the second item a note popped up that said I had to be the successful bidder to file a report. I'm not going there. ;-)

Unbelievable!

But the facts don't lie. :-$

I also saw a ULS M 300 - M 300 laser engraver listed again. Opening bid was something like $1. I have questions in to them, but I would guess they won't have an answer. This one is out of New Jersey, if my memory serves me right.
