I don't know how elegant this would look (not being very familiar with ice skates)....

Can you bolt the side of the skate to the board? I'm thinking of two bolts - one near the front, and one near the heel. There might need to be another one above the ankle.

Never seen this done....please post pics when you get it mounted!

Colin,

I would create a slot in a piece of (clear or black) Plexiglass and attach it to the trophy base.

The blade of the skate would then drop into the slot. I don't think it would necessarily need to be glued into place.

Maybe even a white piece of acrylic, simulating the ice.

Or maybe one of Huang Acrylic or other's clear acrylic 1" thick "ice" plaques laid on it's side with a slot cut into it...... :D
