Hi all - I am on a search for a sceptor that has a crown at the top and is a crown, but not a flat crown. I would like a crown that is fully dimensional. This is difficult to describe, but the client would like to have a crown that has dimention to it and is not flat like all the ones we've found are.

So far I've searched at F&H, Tower and Allens. I could build one using column/parts and use the PDU crown figure, but the client would like a sparkly one instead if at all possible.

Any direction or ideas of where to find a crown sceptor like this?
Thanks,

Cindy,

I'm no help if you've already checked with Allen's, I thought they had them.

I've only been able to locate it on Prom Supply websites. There has to be a wholesaler, because I've seen the same one on multiple sites.

I always find it interesting that my client can purchase the same item on-line for less than I can find it for, bring it in and resell it to them for.

There is a whole 'nother buying place out there of wholesalers that we, as award store people, have not yet accessed and these suppliers are not ARA suppliers. I see my ARA suppliers offering me the same merchandise at a higher price than from vendors who are at the gift shows. So our suppliers buy from the gift show vendors and then resell it to us? When do we get access to the real wholesalers? I could see buying one level up from a supplier if we didn't buy in case lots, but we're not even at that level.

I will offer my client the $21 + shipping crown, as that matches what she was looking for. But I will have to keep searching for the wholesaler of those sceptors and tiaras.

Thanks for all the help guys, and thanks for letting me emote for a tiny minute!
Cindy

Cindy,

It is getting easier and easier to do business with manufacturers in the Orient. Smaller quantities are even an option these days. I believe that some of these suppliers on the web are getting them direct from the source.
