Full Version: OEM isn't specific

Hi Carl,

Perhaps a simple stating of the printer brand or number IE "Oki 3200 Oem laser transfers" would do the most to clear things up for those not in the know......

I heard that the 3400c is replacing the 3200c

There are several different models out there....I was just trying to show an example of how it could be communicated consistently.

Perhaps OKI would be enough.

Ray:

Your original post just confirmed that many of us on the forum are unclear as to what each of the processes does and what they really are.

I try my best to stay up on these things but I'll admit that until recently I was not aware that Al La Costa's process with the Okidata printer was sublimation. I knew he didn't use "OEM" toners but wasn't aware that they weren't standard color laser toner.

I hope you didn't take offense to my remarks-none was intended. But as you read through all the posts it is fairly obvious that we could all use some more information.

Sorry if I sounded offended, no offence was taken Mike.
English is not my first language so I may sound abrupt sometimes. =:)

No problem...

That's what it's all about....."Communication" :)
