Hi Ray

Before you buy anything, I would suggest you do more reading on the 2 processes to have a better understanding of the strengths and weakness'of both.

OEM transfers mean you use the toner that comes in the laser printer but you need special paper ( either hardgoods or softgoods paper) to print on prior to using your heatpress to transfer to the substrate.

Inkjet dyesub uses special inks run thru an Epson printer and then heatpressed to either a polyester coated substrate or to a polyester cloth substrate.

There is information here to read as well as another forum that deals with OEM and dye sub transfers. (dyesub.org)
Doing research can save you a lot of grief and money down the road.
I for one use both processes and don't see one or the other as the answer.

Hope this helps

Dave

Hi Dave ,
I will continue to read about it.
What I understand that getting special ink with special coated article versus getting special laser printer and special paper the last one is less problem and probably cost effectif.

For which one is the best I don't know until I see the result on something or talk to someone who try both process.

Thank for your awnser I will try to find more info.

Ray

Hi Dave ,

I have another question for you I have a inkjet printer Epson stylus photo R300 for dvd and cd printing (i got it free)
Can I use paper in it ?
Can I use the paper for sublimation with it?
Since the ink print on dvd it might print on something else ?
I don't want to try just in case that the paper get stuck and damage my printer.
I met a Dave Miller in Alberta years ago any cousin of yours?

Ray
