It's okay with me. Firefox 2.0 has a built in spell checker. It'll just give me a reason to upgrade my Firefox at home.

I have been getting a lot of 404 errors and busy also. Maybe Go Daddy wasn't so bad after all.

David,

I don't think its just a spell checker problem...... I was totally booted out of the system while composing a reply a while ago.

Now I forgot what I was saying........ >.<

Old tymers setting in..... :O)

Evidently, Dreamhost is still struggling from the problems they had the other day:

www.dreamhoststatus.com

We still have space at Go Daddy, but their admin. tools are almost non-existent.

We'll give Dreamhost a chance to pull it together.

Dreamhost's status shows they're still struggling with NFS issues.

www.dreamhoststatus.com

Even though our server (powerade) isn't listed, there seems to be a spinoff effect, since customers on other (unaffected) servers are reporting slowness.

As I mentioned yesterday, we'll try to ride it out with them.

Naturally, if slowness and outages become a prevailing and unbreakable pattern, we'll be looking elsewhere for hosting.

Looks like we're back (again).

This was the status report from our hosting company, a short while ago. Getting frustrating.

We just had a drop in our network for about half our servers.. if you can't access your site or email now, please hold on.. we are looking into it and will update this page as soon as we have more details.

Next they will say that we are messing them up big time. (devil)

Just kidding, they seem to acknowledge their problems and get it fixed fast. Maybe the problem is that they are growing too fast.

I did notice a major Internet slowdown a while ago. Maybe that was part of it.

Harvey,

I still have a "super lag" support request in. Even though we're back, I'm still getting a substantial lag in trying to access pages.

Here's the latest news on the outage.

it turned out to be a failure in one of our 10 gigabit network interfaces. We’ve swapped it out for a spare one and thing seem to be working now.. there may be some residual problems where some servers need to be
rebooted, however the root cause of the problem is fixed. Please let us know if you are still experiencing any downtime.

Edit: Forum at full speed, here in SoCal.

It's much better in the Midwest as well. Those slowdowns can be painful.
