I am in need of a source of quality stock images, peferrably royalty free. I have found several photography stock image sites, however I cannot seem to find any that offer "art work" as well.

Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance

Chuck,

Check with Laser Reproductions. I think they offer a CD(s) of artwork (as opposed to photography).

If not, I think they'll be able to point you in the direction of some.

David,

The "old World" collection is along the lines of what I am looking for, however I am wanting something a little more contemporary.....

Thanks

Chuck,

Contemporary, as in abstract?

No particular leads. Just trying to zero in on what you're looking for.

Chuck,

So you're not talking about "clipart"?

If not the above, can you fill me in? :S

New old world, makes sense to me.

You want true art but more modern themes.

John,

I am in need of "works of art"....for tile murals.

I have several photographers that are going to work with me....but I also need works from "artists" "Painters"...that I can use.

Currently I am negotiating with a couple of "artists" but I need to have something in hand very soon....so I am looking for a source where "artists" share their work for nominal fees, much like photographers do with stock photo's.

I do not know how else to describe it.....paintings of pictures. Scenery, still life, impressionist......that sort of thing.

Definitely NOT clip art ( insert laugh here)

I hope this clarifies it a bit for you. I am at an unusual loss for words.

Thanks

Chuck:
I have a "starving" artist working for me at the moment. She has been through some rough times lately, currently works for a glass company doing office work and helps me on the side until I can employ her full time. She is very talented and has designed and executed some incredible glass art work. I'll get some pics and forward to you. I'll see her this evening, if you would like, I'll have her contact you direct.
Regards,
Mike

Chuck,
You may want to check
http://www.doverdirect.com/.

Dover publications has a few books that come with cd's in different art categories. I have used their cd's before and they are really excellent quality.

I know as much about art as I do about brain surgery so I'm not sure if any of these are what you might be looking for but it may be a start.

or http://www.awesome-art.biz/Awesome/Default.Asp
but I have never worked with them so I don't know

Glad to hear the tile murals are starting to take off for you. :-)

I really hope this helps you.

Chuck,

OK, I get it now....................... :O)

Sorry can't help! :/

Now that I think about it, CorelDRAW 8 has a section in the back of the book called photos......some interesting topics

is this modern enough??? (devil)

They aren't. I'm trying to get them too. I have not sold one yet.

The two links you put in your post do not load anything....I get a message the url is invalid.

Thanks though for the ideas.

Mike,

Does she paint on canvas? Has any of her work been scanned on a drum scanner or similar device suitable for Gicle'e style prints?

Either way, I would be happy to talk to her, so please feel free to put us in touch.

You can email me at apawards AT hawaii DOT rr DOT com.

Thanks

Becky,

While your links did not work it did cause me to search and I found THIS

So I gave them a call and while they could not help me personally, they were quite helpful in directing me to people that could.

Thank you.

By the way. Thank you for the manual. I also need your mothers name so I can personalize the hula bag. ( it's my thread, we can go a bit off topic :P ) ( insert laugh here)

Hi
Sorry those links didn't work...ironically enough I could not get your link to work either.. :B

Maybe if you tried searching for dover publications you might be able to find it or even amazon might have it too.

Thanks for the hula bag. I didn't have Dee's luck in willing your prize to me at the Beach party. My mom's name is Donna.

You are welcome for the manual. I know you will get more use out of it than I will.....

Probably because you will be in business longer :B (insert confidence inspiring I know your tile murals are going to take off huge laugh here)

heh, bet you never got that one before.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread already in progress...
