Hmmm...I won't use the words I have at my disposal to comment on that decision.

Nope, it's absolutely NOT true. It is an urban legend that has been around for a while. My favorite place to check things like this is:
www.snopes.com
A link to your "legend":

Please do everyone a favor and check snopes before passing on information you get from "a reliable source"... (not directed at you personally Dave)

These days, I'm gunshy.
It's probably a number to be added to a do call list.

I thought about checking that out, but had forgotten the (snopes) web site.
I'll bookmark that one.

David,
I think it is true, as some already start it actually, I was shocked when I receive a recording call from some real state company and it has happen like 3 times in the last 3 weeks,

Their occasional spam text messages on my phone are bad enough, but I'm not ready for a deluge of telemarketers.

David,
Call you cell phone company and ask them. I mean who better would know the truth? Or so we would hope.

Actually I have, and when I get no help, I escalate the call, and if I still get no help I escalate again, and again and again, until I DO get help.
I usually get help B-)

and the problem with most of those customer service centers is that the escalator, or elevator, doesn't reach the top floor...

I have been using the do not call list for quite a long time now for all my phones and it works quite well. I can't attest to the effectiveness with my cell, which is my primary business phone, but it's rare when I get calls or even the annoying faxes I used to get.
