Full Version: shipping scale?

We're starting to ship stuff from our shop, rather than take it down the block to a shipping center.

The only thing we lack for this is a scale to weigh the packages.

Anyone know of a good (read inexpensive) source? I haven't tried eBay, but probably will tomorrow.

thanks!

I picked up a 30 lb digital scale on e-bay several years ago and it has meet every shipping requirement I have ever needed.....

There are several hundred on ebay 36-52 lb for less than $40 . accuracy is good enough for UPS and Postal predition.

If parts counting weight tolerance is required the the price goes up.

That's exactly what I wanted to know.

I saw several on eBay that went up to 50 lbs or so, and I thought they looked pretty cheap (pricewise). I'll give 'em a shot....not much to lose.

Thanks!!

I also bought a scale off of ebay.

150lb capacity and serial connection to computer. It works with almost all software packages that print postage.

I paid around $65 for it and 2 label printers. I can print my own USPS, UPS labels with the printers and the weight is entered in the programs automatically.
UPS even supplies the blank labels if you have an account with them.

Sam's Club had a nice one that was reasonably priced. It has been awhile since I have been there, but another option perhaps.

Cody...

We bought a scale about a year ago from this eBay seller, and it was a great bargain. Fast shipping, inexpensive, and durable (....after a full year of daily use, not a problem.) Check out his auctions in addition to the eBay Store items for an even better deal....but make sure to buy the optional AC adaptor. Products are added daily.

I bought one this morning for about $25 (including shipping).

It's a WeighMax Pozo 75 - 75# scale.

I don't think it connects to the PC, but that's not necessary anyway.

We have a UPS account, and just ordered some labels yesterday. We should be rolling in a week or so.

I bought one at Sams Club that is inexpensive and goes up to about 300 lbs. It is a Royal brand.
