This came up once before but I couldnt find it.
Did anyone ever come up with a good place to get thick small
ornament plates like this usually used on pen sets and gift items.

Seems like there must be a source since many customer owned items we get from different places use them.

I know classic medallics, idplates, gravograph, etc. have a few similar but usually very limited in size and design of have unfinished edges.

I usually make do but this time we need 300 for a project and they won't accept regular engraving stock.

Thanks

The picture looks like an extrusion. How thick is it?

Its solid brass since we tried sanding one down. We are trying to fix someone else's mistake. The surface is satin but the edges are polished without the grain.

It seems to be a little thicker than .050 brass so I guess about .060.

The picture is from a very small one I had we replaced on something else with a bigger one. It is only about 5/8" x 2 1/4".

We ending up ordering a 1.5" x 3" size from classic medalics. It surprised me that they actually had over 300 in stock but very limited in size choice.

The exact look isn't critical. Basically anything fairly thick. When I worked at the jewelry store we got several sizes from http://www.sheaffer.com/ pen co. but they were mostly shiny. Might have to look into that but I dont' know what there requirements are for buying.

If I could find a nice selection of sizes I think it would be nice to offer something more upscale to the many people that come in wanting engraving plates.

You might check out Johnson Plastics. They have .062" leaded satin brass. Item is B9030 and they will cut to size for you.
