As some of you know, my Dad died February 27. I'm helping my Mom clear out some of Dad's engraving things. (yes I took what I wanted B-) ) I know that the last time the machine was used was December 11, 2006 and he closed the business Dec.31 (he tried to stay busy up to the end).
Hermes model ITF-II serial number 81668 - I think it was manufactured in 1981 - Hermes would only say between 1980-1982) He only had two fonts - looks like a Helvetica style - single line 5/8" and 2 1/2" complete set. I haven't counted all the cutters but there are many, some are used, others haven't been used since he had them resharpened. He even wired the machine to a foot control - on/off switch.
Hermes 12" shear with plastic blades he probably purchased this with the machine. Don't know when it was last resharpened.
He also use to do vacuum formed signs. Have the complete alphabet and numbers (aluminum) in 1", 2", 3", 4".
