Full Version: National Banner

Perhaps I expect too much. But I don't think so.

Customer service ( yeah yeah I know)....is such a simple thing....and I am NOT getting a warm fuzzy from National Banner.

What I am looking for is a flag similar to the one attached. I found it HERE

Upon calling nabco, after I FINALLY got them to understand what it was that I needed, only to be told that the person that COULD help me, was not in and that * I * needed to call back tomorrow.

Well today is yesterday's tomorrow and I called back. Talked to the same gal as I did yesterday, ( she had completely forgotten me). When I reminded her, she asked if Joe ( not his real name) had gotten in touch with me? I told her no.

She said, well you won't be able to talk to him today either since he decided not to come in, and told me *I* would have to call back on Monday.

Ok, fine, I tersely replied as I hung up the phone.

Now, imagine ( "its easy if you try"-John Lennon) how different it would have been and how much better I would have felt IF she had said...

"I"m sorry Joe did not get in touch with you. Unfortunately he is not in today, but I can certainly have HIM call YOU on Monday.".....

The difference is subtle I know between "You will have to call back on Monday" and " I will have Joe call you on Monday"..but it IS a difference and WOULD have made a difference in my shopping experience with nabco.

Sigh.........

Chuck,

I completely agree with you. It's those little things that really make a big difference in making me feel comfortable with a vendor/supplier. I try really hard to have those same expectations of myself when I'm the vendor/supplier.

I hope you never get off your soapbox on the issue of customer service. It's always a good reminder to me to mind my P's & Q's!

If you know how to sew, and get some polyester material, you can sublimate it.

I used to do a lot of sewing to help out my wife's first business. I used to have to do grosses of items. (Had to do because they were selling, Wifey did not even have to whip me.)

Chuck,
I don't know if you need permission to use the Rotary Wheel but you should check before you bid on that job. I have been a Rotarian for just over 4 years and I *think* those items have to ordered through authorized resellers. I am probably wrong about that but you never know.
FYI - here is a link to one company who sells Rotary 'trading flags' - they are listed on the Rotary website.

Good luck!

Gary

Gary Thanks, but this is not for Rotary.....it was just an example of the kind of flag that I need.

I have been in Rotary for 12 years now, and American Pacific Awards is jumping through the last hoop to become an authorized dealer for Rotary products.. ( I just need to send them their money) ......

But thanks for the warning.....

I'll have to come to your club for a make-up meeting - it's a bit of a commute but you never know when I'll be in your neighborhood ;-)

I have just had to order a flag for a customer and I found Gettysburg Flag Works http://www.Gettysburgflag.com 888.697.3524 . I haven't gotten the flag yet, but their customer service was very good and their pricing was great for what I had to order.
