Full Version: I can see clearly now

......since I got my "Vision" ( insert bad pun laugh here).

After a delay because the shipping company had my phone number wrong, the engraver arrived today. How exciting........it was well crated and what fun to open.

HOWEVER, I can see that the learning curve will be a "bit" steeper than with the laser engraver. ( or at least it seems that way)....

With THAT said, I want to thank everyone in advance for the inevitable, possibly interminable, and hopefull not TOO stupid, questions coming your way.

I have an email into Howard, the Vision rep in Hawaii.....but I don't expect I will hear from him until next week.

NOW comes the challenge of finding a place to put it.... I'll keep you posted...( so to speak)....when the fun begins......

WOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Chuck;

I've got a money-making idea for you: setup a camera, get a live video feed and start your own reality TV show. You're sure to be a comedy of errors for a day or so!

{enter good-natured, only fooling, jealous, laugh here}

Carl,

Trust me. It won't take THAT long. ( insert another self deprecating laugh here).......

But I am sure with the help of my "forum family" it won't take long before I'll be up and running.......

Thanks for the laugh.

I for one would pay to see that reality show! :P

Podcast your adventures as a new engraver owner and you would have that thing paid for in a heartbeat :-) (I'm only half-joking here...I think it would be wonderful )

Seriously though, congratulations on your new acquisition. That's very exciting.

Wishing you the best of luck!

Congratulations Chuck!

Steeper learning curve means fewer people will be following in your footsteps and that's a good thing. :-)

Chuck, congratulation your new toy.

With a family of 1700+ members EE forum will reduce your learning curve to minimal.
Now that you have added rotary to your arsenal, the fun part begins.
Just ask Cody, he is having a ball with his 912 Viper.
Good luck.

Tony

Tom, I am hardly in a postion to dispense advice, but I will give you THIS tidbit....wait until Vegas next year....then surround yourself with Harvey, Dee, David and Roy and GO SHOPPING!!!

I could not and would not have made this decision without their sage and solid input.

Chuck,
This is so exciting. I agree with Becky. It would be great to see video of your learning experiences. Everybody has been there in one form or another. You could get all kinds of advice and other "newbies" would know they are not alone in their struggles. And, when you are no longer a "newbie" think about what an inspiration you could be.

If you decide to do this please wear your grass skirt.

Dee
