I am the worst person in the world remembering names, so if I forget your name please forgive me. I was never any good with names but since I came down with Lyme, it has gotten 10 times worse.

Sam, no Lou, Dan? oh yes, Dave

Dave

Do not feel bad about forgeting names - I have always had a mental
block when it comes to names. I can remember all sorts of things and details
but names are just lost on me. People come in my shop and I can tell
them what I engraved and where they work - those sort of details but names
leave me. The worst is when I really know the person and I start to intro them
and just go blank.

You guys must be Harv's long lost brothers! We were out once and he ran into someone he was working with every day for 4 years. He introduced him to me as the "head of the art dept" When he is embarrassed about not remembering a name he will tell the person that he has forgotten my name on more than 1 occasion. I should be upset but after almost 30 years ...

Hmmm.....

An elderly couple had dinner at another couple's house, and after eating, the wives left the table and went into the kitchen. The two gentlemen were talking, and one said, "Last night we went out to a new restaurant and it was really great. I would recommend it very highly." The other man said, "What is the name of the restaurant?" The first man thought and thought and finally said, "What is the name of that flower you give to someone you love? You know... the one that's red and has thorns." "Do you mean a rose?" "Yes, that's the one," replied the man. He then turned towards the kitchen and yelled, "Rose, what's the name of that restaurant we went to last night?"

Yup that's him. But ask him a question about the circuitry in an engraver and he can spit it right out.
