Phil,

What it would take to have a custom run of Rowmark engraving stock made?

I have a situation, in that, I've produced an award, for the past 15 years, that requires the use of (the now-discontinued) Midnight/Gray (granite) stock.

When I heard the material was being discontinued, I snatched up all I could. I have plenty for the short term, though, at some point, I'll have to substitute the material (haven't seen a desireable option yet) or appeal to Rowmark for a custom run, if that's possible.

Is it possible?

Thank you :-)

HI,
Rowark is terrific for custom board and the quantities are not tremendous. We use them all the time. I talk to Rowmark and place my orders through JDS. All very helpful.

Mark,

EVERYTHING was overwhelming in Las Vegas. We truly enjoyed meeting you, and thank you for the demo of the Newing Hall ring/bracelet attachment.

Very slick.

The material mentioned isn't even used (by me) for engraving, so the core color doesn't matter much. Gray does makes a nice neutral bevel though.

Hammer Tom for an answer - won'tcha? :-)

OK Larry.

I'm getting the picture. The material has to be ordered through one of the Rowmark distributors.

Would any distributor do?

I have a local distributor in mind.

David,

I wish I had a good answer for you. The problem with the Greystone is that the foil to manufacture it has been discontinued. We lost one of our foil manufacturers about this time last year. We are working to replace the lost foils with another source but the process is slow.

A similar replacement to Greystone will probably be available sometime this year. It will not be the same but close. A suggestion would be to look at our Granites Deluxe. If you will email me your address I will be happy to send you samples.

Email me at pnoakes@rowmark.com. Thanks,

Phil

Thank you Phil,

The reason I liked that particular material; it made a great backing plate for awards and also a nifty substrate for ADA signage. Gold silkscreened images are also a winner.

If you have something close, I'd love to see it.

I'll email my shipping address.

Good golf weather out here in Ventura County. Maybe Rowmark will send you out with those samples.

Strictly a business trip. :-)

Can you give some idea of the minimum quantities and pricing relative to a stock sheet?

It was 18-19 March Embassy Suites Fourth Floor in Tukwila, WA

We had Universal, Xenetech, Newing-Hall, Epilog, sublimation reps, PDU, Simba Cal, Victory, Johnson Plastics, General Awards, Creative Medals, Washington Trophy Supply (Freeman) Wester Trophy Supply (PDU) Continental Awards, Winners Circle (Ribbons), Smokewood..... A good cross section of the award/recogition market.

Sorry you missed it. We will look for you next year!
