TNT,

This evening, I read the Louie Alvarez article, in the January issue of A&E magazine, that Joe Hayes referred to. (Why does Joe get his copy before the rest of us?) :-)

Sure enough, the article was touting the wide variety of items the laser machines are capable of marking. Louie did make mention of your full-color process, but was quick to add, since a patent is pending and the details haven't been completely ironed out, he's not at liberty to elaborate.

As Joe pointed out, Louie asks us to stay tuned for a "lenghty and detailed article" on the process.

I've eaten crow in the past, but not often enough to develop a taste for it. Looks like I may be lined up for another helping, but until I know the "nitty-gritty" I'll refrain from shopping for a select piece. :-)

I get mine early because they know I am special. :P  By the way - I am not yet sure, and I shall reserve judgement until later - but that may be a black feather hanging on the side of your face.

Joe,

I suspected you were on the inside track, when it comes to early delivery of A&E. :-)

Hey! I'd love to chow down on some crow, if it means a cutting edge application for laser engraving.

The huge learning curve sounds good to me. :-)

Thom and/or Terry,

The web site isn't loading for me. I'm using IE5 for Mac. I see a marble background, but from there, nothing happens.

David,

We tested the website with Internet Explorer 5, Safari 1.3 and Mozilla FireFox 1.5 and it worked well with all these browsers. Try downloading FireFox a new browser if you cannot get IE5 to work.

We have had a very quick response from several people since our 5pm posting and you are the first to have difficulties.

Sorry for the inconvience and hope you are soon visiting our site.

I'm on an old Mac OS and can't use Safari etc.

Another reason to upgrade.

Good luck with the venture.

Will you have anything to show us at the ARA Las Vegas show?

Thank you T&T.

Looking forward to seeing the products in-person.

I realize I was hyper-skeptical, when you first made your announcement, but I've been thumbing through a few cookbooks and found a couple recipes for crow that I may be able to stomach. :-$

TNT,

Mr. C's question was addressed to all.

To reiterate, will you have samples of the Atomic Art process on display at the ARA show, to be held at the end of March, in New Jersey?

Actual demonstrations?

Thanks

To All,

We are planning to show samples at booth 776 on March 2-4 at the ARA Show in Las Vegas.

We do not have any plans for others shows at this time; however, interest has been very high and we have been approached by some major companies interested in assisting us with distribution. There will be no demonstrations; but, samples will be plentiful.

Hope to see you all there!

TNT,

Would you mind sharing how long it would take, using your process, to produce one 5"x7" full color image on aluminum? I'm trying to gather a production-time comparison to inkjet sublimation. I realize your process may create a superior finished product, but would just like to get an idea if this is time-consuming, multi-stage process that would make it cost prohibitive for my operation.

David,

We have not attempted any metals at this time and suspect it will work; but cannot be absolutely certain at this time.

Hopefully in the near future we will get the opportunity to test some alluminum and let you know.

TNT,

You pick the substrate for the time comparison. I just pulled aluminum out of the air for no particular reason.

I would be extremely interested if the process would work on Stainless Steel. We have several applicaitons where with would be big if it worked.
Even if it does not work on metals I am still extremely interested in seeing and learning more of your product at Las Vegas show.

See you there

Joe

To All,

We had a wonderful time meeting so many of you at the ARA Show.

Sorry we were unable to attend the Beach Party or to visit much with individuals; but our schedule demanded that we attend meetings, dinners, etc. with Laser Co. Representatives.

The good news is Trotec users will be the first to offer Atomic Art to their customers. Stay tuned for updates.

Dave, tells us that crow really ain't that bad. We enjoyed his sense of humor and humility. A Great Guy.

Thom or Terry,

I'm going to ask the question again, but would like you to choose the substrate. What is your estimate of time it would take, using your process, to produce one 5"x7" full color image?

By asking the above information, I'm trying to gather a production-time comparison to inkjet sublimation. I realize your process may create a superior finished product, but would just like to get an idea if this is too much of a time-consuming, multi-stage process that would make it cost prohibitive for my operation.
