I may have missed it but I do not see David Takes of Expressions Engraved
on the list. Didn't you make some sort of promise to make it this year, last year?? We all sure do hope you can make it. The trip would do you good.
Mr. Stunt Engraver put Russ and Martha of WarrLight Engraving down for the Thursday fun. I/we don't know anyone here really and trying to get to know a few of you is something we are looking forward to.

I am beginning to wonder if there really is a David Takes. I admit that if you call his listed phone # a male voice answers and identifies himself as Dave. I also admit that he is a wealth of information if you call him and that there is a picture of him on the front page of this forum. I also admit that he told me that he may be moving during the show. With all that said what is the possibility that Dave is really a croquet playing robot assembled by David L., Chuck and a couple of the other jokers who hang out here? Joe are you and Uncle Steve in on this plot also?
actually a golf playing robot. What kind of excuse would moving be........geez just leave everything it will still be there when you get back. (been the story of my life the last 18 + months with this major remodel job).
Thanks for the back up. I know for one we would like to meet David person to person. My wife has even suggest a road trip out to David's place. Someone needs to check his place out. ;-)
I keep planning to drop in on him - he's only something like 75-100 miles away. Perhaps he'll book an early flight out of KC on Wednesday and we can talk the whole way to Las Vegas - and I'll get to meet him first :P
If nothing else he should fly out just for the party and prove he is real. South West has got some cheap flights. Rolf is buying Ice Cream - so food would not be an issue. ;-)
I am also a new forum member. I hope to meet many of you in Las Vegas soon as I plan to go also. I own a gift shop in Albuquerque where I sell primarily hand turned wood items (pens, bottle stoppers, bowls, key rings, etc) that I make. I got an Epilog mini, 25 watt engraver so I could engrave my items in house. I had been doing a lot of craft shows before opening the store and offered engraving as an option but the buyer had to wait for a couple of weeks for me to deliver the item. I opened the shop in a tourist area so I needed to be able to engrave at the time of purchase. After buying the engraver and learning more about it I also started making a lot of Christmas ornaments and other engraved gift items. I'm looking forward to learning from others on this forum and hope I can be of help to some too. BTW, you can see some pictures of my shop and the items I sell on my web site at www.eTreasuredCreations.com.
