A blow drier huh? That is not a bad idea. I'll give it a try.

Chuck,

I spoke with Photobrasive this week and they have updated their recommended exposure settings for RapidMask on the NuArc unit I have. As suspected, my problem was a result of inadequate exposure. I think I have the same problem with my marketing programs sometimes. 8^)

David,
I totally understand what you mean. Today is probably NOT a day to talk about it.
Have a great weekend. We are off to dinner at the Outback.......

Dave,

I spoke with Photobrasive about RapidMask and they recently adjusted their recommended settings from 60 integrator units to 90 for the exposure unit I use. Do you use the same exposure time for RapidMask HT and HD?

Which product are you finding that you use more often -- HD or HT?

What printer and inks are you using to print your negative image on the AccuBlack film?

I recall from an earlier conversation that there was a substrate that the RapidMask would leave an actual discoloration mark where it was applied. Am I correct in recalling that that substrate was marble?

You are correct about the marble. If I blast and than paint the mable and it is exposed to sunlight, the marble area that is not under the masking tape takes on shape of the exposed resist even though it is under paint. No problem with it if I spray paint outside and immediately bring it inside and put it in a dark place. We use HD about 90? of the time when not using the laser to burn the resist. Only with marble do I use the thicker resist sind I like to go deeper in marble.

We use the laterlite exposure system and expose both for 4 min. Wish I could afford the system you have.

We use the HP 5550 deskjet with their standard black ink on Accublack velum.
