Becky,

I mostly do sublimation for other businesses.

I have a $25.00 set up charge, and charge .35 per sq. in. for imaged aluminum plates, with a $5.00 minimum charge per plate.

No new set up charge, if the same file is used, with the only changes being names, dates, titles, etc.

I make allowances for volume orders, on a case-by-case basis; sometimes waiving the set up charge; other times lowering the minimum charge per plate.

I stopped calling my work wholesale. It's the price I charge to be profitable. If another company finds room to mark up my prices, great!

Many do.

Thanks Dave,
I had read a post of yours before similar to what you just sent. I just wasn't sure if that was a standard rate you charged for everyone or if you had different rates for different types of sales/quantities etc. You've answered my question yet again!!
Thanks so much!!
Becky

Becky,

If I'm working direct with the public, I still use the $25 set up charge, but charge more for the imaged metal. I will make exceptions for my "retail" prices, depending on the volume and regularity of business.

I make namebadges for a small chain of Mexican restaurants (pretty steady work) and charge the same for them, as for trophy store clients.

I also do namebadges for other companies, (trickle in, as 1z-2z's) and charge twice as much, for them, than my usual business-to-business customers.

I don't think my pricing could be considered "standard." I've heard of others charging more, and still others, charging much less.
