We use a 2 part quick setting clear epoxy we get at O'Reilys auto parts.

We have even used it on several awards that have come apart from other places that were put together with the uv system.

It also works with many other surfaces. The excess can be cleaned up. If your objects aren't exactly flush it even fills in the gap.

We use Rayzist's UV Glue http://www.rayzist.com/
click on support and then engravable blanks.

We do lots of this and yes we use a low viscosity UV activated adhesive. Although we do have one of the expensive UV lights meant for this, we also have a plain black light which also bonds the adhesive just fine. Either PhotoBrasive or Rayzist is a good source for the adhesive.
