They are more likely to be found at a roast than humorous. If you want to insult someone, that is the section to use. The rest of the book is good.

They also give you the right to copy the book as many times as you want. That makes it lawful to make copies to use at the counter while the original stays in perfect shape. It is the broadest rights I have ever seen granted. Kudos to them.

P.S. Some of the letter counts are off.

Harvey - I did a search on the net for this book or it's publisher to find out a little more about it - came up blank. I saw the phone number but is there any other way to find out the price and a little more about what is included in it. Even Amazon did not have any info? Who wrote it?
Thank you

Joe

I called them up yesterday and ordered a book for myself. Speaking to them they said that they (Rockaway Graphics) commissioned a person (who?) to write the book because they got tired of trying to explain to people what would be on a plaque and to have some good layout and sayings. The book is 39.95 + 7.00 shipping, something over 100 pages. It is not available from any other source.

Thanks Bob for the update - I wonder how many they have sold over the years? Does not seem to me like it would be a high volume book.

Cindy,

Another resource for plaque sayings is the ARA website in the "Member" section. We've used some of them to show customers. There's not a huge selection, but it's been enough to get the wheels turning in the customer's mind.

HTH,

Cody

I have a book called "Words for Plaques" published by Neer & Assoc. in 1996. It, too is over 100 pages, but I don't think this is the same as the one being mentioned here. I actually used it today, just faxed a couple of the pages to a customer and had them pick and choose what they wanted. Within an hour the plaques were completed and they didnt have to come to the business.

It's an outstanding resource, has 10 different categories including layouts and sayings (quotes) for plaques and poetry.

I called Recognition Pro in California as Mike Neer is the head honcho there.

Will report back when I hear from them.

Brian

Perhaps they would like a banner ad offering a nominal (10-15% ?) discount to forum members...... ;-)

Brian,
I would love that contact info. You can never have too many suggestions for people to look at.

TIA
