Any Ideas?

The attached file is from the monucad program we use. I am trying to find another program that is able to open the file.

As we design customers stone it would be helpful to email proofs to the customer. Monucad basically does this by taking a screen capture and sending it as a jpeg. It confuses the customer when they see all the programs edit features.

I think? it is a vector file as monucad sends it to the plotter for cutting.

I have tried CorelDraw12 and importing it, error reports it is a invalid file format.

Will monucad export into any other file formats? (ie: EPS).

Some programs, like Adobe Acrobat (full version, not "Reader") add a PDF printer to your system. This allows any program that can print to a printer the ability to generate a PDF. There might be a 30 demo of Acrobat at adobe.com

I have not tried photo paint. It sounds similar to Sangit where I can do a screen capture and then paste it into Corelpaint and edit it as a jpeg.

This process would work except that we may make several changes to the layout and have to resend the proof back and forth.

Something that would allow editing to the existing file and then saving and sending changes would be better.

Monu-cad can export the drawings as a autocad.dxf file but it is limited to the number of vectors it will export based on the license purchased.

I am addressing that issue with the company as the program purchased was the full professional version.

There are some other Adobe programs that include the PDF printer driver, but I'm not sure which ones do and which don't. That's just in case you already have some Adobe programs, maybe on another computer. (even old ones like PageMaker)

Acrobat is not cheap, so there may be another solution that will do what you need for less. Or maybe a used copy from ebay would be enough.
