Good day all,

A wine shop customer would like to have us laser engrave some promotional wine stoppers for him.

Looking for the flat-head style wine bottle stoppers, preferably made out of a nice wood with a metal cone shaped stopper or tapered cork.

Obviously cost/price is an issue. >.<

Thoughts? Pointers?

Thanks in advance.

I do quite a bit of woodwork and have turned them on my lathe. You can buy the parts and assemble them pretty cheaply - as long as you can turn them that is. If not, check with your local Woodcraft store and see if they have a woodturners club near you. I would bet you could find someone hungry enough to turn a bunch of them pretty cheaply. You could offer something unique instead of something mass produced. They might cost a bit more but they will have a much higher perceived value than the others.

just a thought...

Gary

Gary,

In fact I do know some wood turners.
Any pointers on where I can buy the "stopper" parts.

Thanks!

Woodcraft has a few:

and Rockler also:

There may be other places that have them cheaper but these are two that I knew of.
