I didn't have time to log back on yesterday and let everyone know that I had found the problem. Another sympton I didn't mention that it was taking a long time to boot. As it turns out the small magnet on the bar that tells it, it is at the home location, had fallen out. Glued it back in place, it boots quickly and everything is working well.
