I ran across a vendor that sells all kind of plastic materials while I was looking for some Delrin to use for glides for a CNC mill I am building.
I bought two 4' x 8' sheets of 1/6" abs, one black and one white, and he threw in a "scrap" piece of delrin that would have cost me about $25 if I had to purchase it locally. The price per sheet was just under $21.00 each, compared to the $1.89/sq. ft. from my local plastics dealer. Since they have a warehouse in Portland, it arrives next day when shipped by UPS ground. According the their line card they have warehouses in 13 US cities as well as Juarez, Mexico.
They sell every kind of plastic, acrlyic, etc., that we could ever use. Their prices are better than Delvies, and way better than anything I can find locally.
The company is Professional Plastics, the rep I talked to is Richard Andrus. His number is 800-616-7236 - not direct, just ask for Rich.
I am not affiliated with this company, with the exception of being a VERY happy customer!
If you call Rich, please tell him Gary at Laser Image referred you - I won't get anything for the referral but it helps to have a couple of "favors" in my pocket.
If you deal with them let me know how it goes.
