Mike thanks for the effort - I sent them a detailed email of how I needed the file - and they sent the PDF anyway. What a bunch of egg heads.
Harvey came through by opening in the Adobe Pro 6 version and saving it to eps.

My guess is by looking at it was a CAD program that created it. I deal with several architects - most are OK this bunch is little trying to work with grade school kids. The last job I did and they sent a file they had misspellings all over the finished project. This has been an ongoing project with donations for several places for a new sports complex for our local high school. Each phase means I get to do another round of plaques and acrylics. Needless to say the architects for this were low cost bidder. :-$

That usually translates into the file being done in a recent version of AI. Ask them to save it in V7 or earlier and send it to you as an EPS as well as PDF.

I have been able to open recently made ai files in adobe reader. From there you can save copy as a pdf. It will then import in corel x3.

I opened your pdf in reader and saved copy as a different name as a pdf.
But it still shows corrupt when importing in corelx3. Maybe it is too complex or something to.

Both the original and new pdf copy I made opened in an old version of adobe 9 I have.
