Are there any white "plastic" papers that will work with an inkjet printer. I am looking for something that will hold up to water. Transparencies don't work because you can't print white.

The other requirement, no vinyl, so I can laser cut it.

You get inkjet vinyls that are polyester based , we used to use some in an epson 890 and laser cut it. Was sort of waterproof , we used to dome it

Just another note on this , laser cutting vinyl is not that serious , laser engraving it is. The amount of chlorine released when vector cutting is negligable and doing this occasionally is not going to poison anyone or build up hydrochloric acid in the laser to any extent.

Although I am not disputing what Rodney is saying about cutting vinyl, and
the amount of Hydrochloric Acid released - it does need to be understood
that if you do have a problem cutting or engraving PVC products
voids the warranty on most machines. Rodney is extremely knowledgeable
and an asset to this forum. But personally I feel the risk of some damage
to the machine is not worth this job.

Consider finding a sign maker with a vinyl printer/cutter who will do your
project - right machine for the right job.

That's exactly what I'm looking for a white polyester inkjet "paper" that I'll then dome. I'll check out that link.

The polyester stuff we got from Daito worked real well. We had to make a sort of jig/template for registration in the laser to cut it . Colours and definition was excellent and no bleeding when doming . Its a sort of "poor mans "print and cut (well the laser is pretty expensive , but the printer was real cheap)
There is another machine from graphtec called a craft robo which will cut inkjet printed sheets using registration marks it reads- MUCH Cheaper than a laser

Its something I'll keep in mind for when business picks up. For now I have the Inkjet and the laser and neither is anywhere near being fully utilized. When I do need a cutter in the future I'll be able to do true vinyl too. I love getting toys, but I need some income first. This is a great job the toys are so versatile.
