Many jobs that I do require 304 SS plates with multi line engraving. I have been using my rotary engraver, and sometimes having to color fill. (Do I like doing these no - do I like the $$ I get for doing them yes) I'm looking for a faster way to do these. I don't have a laser so I need a little education here.......
1) Will ceremark work on stainless steel (most of the job specs are for 304 or 316) ?
2) I understand that only a YAG will work on this material - correct?
3) Everything I have seen done by a YAG has been a thin line....the specs for these jobs require lettering that I use a .060 cutter on my rotary. Can a YAG be adjusted to get that thick of a line?
Just haven't been able to find much information on stainless steel engraving so hope to learn more from everybody here.
Thanks,
