John,
I have been having an enjoyable conversation with GBengraver and realized I did not know her name. Any chance of adding a field in the personal side of the profile for names? Not everyone puts their names in the messages and I like to call people by their names. Seems more polite that way.

James,

Some people are extremely wary of revealing anything about themselves on the internet, although, we're steadily seeing more people reveal their names in their posts here.

It may be a sign they feel at home here. I hope that's the case.

I hope that trend continues. Like you, I prefer to know who I'm talking (typing) to.

The other day, I was looking at the terms of service for the Sawmill Creek forum. One of their rules is that people use their real names. That rule doesn't seem to be hampering their popularity.

Added, you can post directly to me as JohnFish, it's easier because then I get a notification.

Thanks.

James,
Yes it is true,
I am a male, not that I ever tried to pass myself off as a female. ;-)

And I too enjoyed our debate, and don't hold your republicanism against you.

I don't think he is a re-publican......

Greg,

How could I have been so confused?
I misread a reply form Harvey that referenced another post.
My bad.

Did you see my other post in this thread about my politics? This is probably not the correct place for this topic but I hope it at least clarifies things though my answer rarely does.
