The FedEx truck just left after dropping off a 704-page gift catalog from a company named Quality Gifts. I have never heard of them.

In the letter that accompanied the catalog they explain that they have selected more than 5,000 of the 10,800 items in the catalog for their unique ability to be personalized.

I spent a little time thumbing through the catalog and saw some things I hadn't seen, but also saw plenty that I had. Some of the pages even appeared to be a copy of some of my supplier catalogs such as Creative Gifts International and Leeber.

Have any of you ever done business with this company, or are they a new startup?

Same here in Washington... Big bucks to print and distribute this one.

As you mentioned pages right out of the main distributors catalog. I can only think this is a middle man who stocks nothing and takes $1-2 off of every item ordered to consolidate and ship the "NO Minimum". Just like an ASI or SAGE catalog.

I'm glad to see it.. there are alot of items I have wondered how to get my hands on.... I would not mind using them even with the extra cost of the items.

I too received the catalog today. I noticed that prices are a little high but you can purchase one or two pieces of an item. We are presently engraving 300 8oz stainless steel flasks that my customer paid $2.00 for that is in the catalog at $20.00 retail or $10.00 cost.
It might be high but no minimums if you want to fool around with this stuff.

After reading this thread, I checked the catalog that just came today. Yup its the same...

Delivered all around the country on the same day... I'm guessing the list of those who did not get one would be smaller.

We got this 10# baby today too. I cannot wait to see if Dee weighs in on this one. She is the gift catalog Queen. Getting her feedback should be interesting. I wonder if they have an ARA list?? Is everyone that received the cataglog an ARA member?? I know some of you are.

Me too, thought it was a cat. I forgot I asked someone for.
Nice catalogue. Haven't compared pricing with my other suppliers though. Has anyone done any comparisons yet??

I am beginning to wonder who is selling their mailing list. I am guessing it is eithe Custom Gift Retailer/ A&E!

Sounds interesting. Harv and I are staying at the mall until at least Sunday so we won't know if we received one until we get home.

Mark,

I did call them with a few questions and got through immediately, so it appears that they are prepared to do business.

In our conversation they conveyed that they ship via FedEx exclusively.

Again in checking their prices I compared their list prices on Zippo lighters and find in all instances their list is $4.00 higher than buying from Zippo's distributor also same with other categories.

I also think they have ARA's mailing list.

I am not an ARA member..... I think it is the A&E or Custom Gift Retailer list they are using....

I do know who you're talking about. I have had their catalog for a couple of years. My Colibri salesman turned me on to them. They buy from large companies and mark up about 10%. Some of their suppliers are Colibri, Creative, Gifts, Leeber and New England Fashions. They sell to small jewelry and gift shops and people who do home parties. They appear to buy from companies that manufacture for mall type jewelers. I would love to find some of their other suppliers. I am going to talk to NEF and see if they know some of their other suppliers.

I got one yesterday as well. I used to be an ARA member but no longer. My wife browsed through it but I haven't as yet. I did notice the high cost when flipping through when it came.

Some big bucks were spent on this endeavor for sure!
