One more question. Where would I look locally for a piece like that?
i.e. What type of business am I looking for. Quarry, landscaping,?????

That piece of granite came from a granite countertop dealer. A lot of granite shops will give you there cut-outs from sinks if you ask them, to them they are scrap. I bought this piece because I wanted them to polish the edges.

real granite. Absolute black That is the only thing I use for laser engraving.

I am looking for a market for the black granite. I have received several pieces from a couple of suppiers. They are the black granite but have the specks in it. I am looking for all black granite no specks or marks. I know its available as I have seen it. Do you have a market for this. Please reply asap. thanks, peggy

Yes I Have several sources, What you are looking for is Absolute Black. Your local tile or countertop dealers should have what you need. I get mine from my Dal-Tile distributer.

There is a company called lasersketch ltd. They have a nice selection of both Absolute Black Granite and Marble. It laser's very nice and the grain that you usually see is very small and tight.
