Hello Everyone,

Just thought to share a Christmas "Card" that I made.

Every Year I send a nice Card to my best customers. Naturally I can not send each one of the such a card.

I laser cut the edges around the card. Engrave a space where the santa will be. Sublimate a piece of aluminum and glue it into the engraved space. For the candle flame I use sparkly foil. The 2005 I use gold foil. Both are spectrum materials. The green leaves I make by using( I think it's called) Spectrum lights Sublimate a green square and cut it so it fits the leaves.

This is more like a "thank you" rather than a Christmas Card.
AND THEY REMEMBER.

Hope you like it too.
Rolf

Great job Rolf! What are the dimensions and how much time goes into it?

Rolf,

Very nice! I bet that's one card that doesn't get thrown away, after the holidays. :-)

Thanks Brian!
I actually DO send it in the mail.
I put it in a padded envelope. I even mailed some of them to friends in Europe. They got it just fine.

Thank you Ed,

I use the 1/8" red alder that I got, I think, from laserbits. The "Card" is about 3.5"x5.5" ( the wood is only 4"wide when I buy it).

It takes a good bit of time. That's why I only make them for GOOD customers.

I made about 50 of them (this includes the ones I sent to family and friends) took me about 2 days. I was able to make some of them in foreign languages that really added to make them special.

Thanks again
Rolf

Thanks David,
This is one of the reasons I send it.
People DO remember and you're right they don't throw it away.
I don't even put my business name on it. I don't want them to think that I want to advertise my business. (but it does anyway)

Rolf,

No, I wasn't working all night. Actually, things are winding down, as far as Christmas engraving goes. Just got up to get a drink of water and made the mistake of checking my email. :-)

All the best to you and Leslie for the holidays. :-)
